Training platform <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As a member, you will have access to the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce’s training platform KoulutusOnline. In KoulutusOnline you will find training recordings on topics such as financial management, internationalisation and employment relations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to get started with the training platform<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to your membership site with your bank account details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Go to the Messages tab, select Employment support services<\/strong> as the subject of the conversation and type KoulutusOnline<\/strong> in the title field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Write a message telling us you want to use the training service. Please include your email address in your message. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    By requesting the introduction of the KoulutusOnline service, you give permission to the Entrepreneur Fund to forward your name and e-mail address to the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce and at the same time accept the Privacy Policy of<\/a> the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce. The service will initially be available for three months and can be extended if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6. You can also view a list of development companies<\/a> if you wish. Development companies are companies owned by municipalities that are responsible for business development in the region.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Start-up money<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      An entrepreneur can get help with their livelihood from start-up money. To qualify for start-up funding, you must be a full-time entrepreneur and your business must not have started before you applied for start-up funding. Decisions on start-up grants are made by the employment regions and vary from place to place. Information on start-up funding is available from the Enterprise Finland helpline. You can apply for business finance from your bank. You can apply for a loan or a guarantee for a loan from Finnvera, the special state financial institution. In rural areas, start-up entrepreneurs can also get Leader funding.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Insurance for a new entrepreneur<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      You have insured yourself for unemployment with the Entrepreneur Fund, great!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Suomi.fi<\/a> provides useful information on how to set up a business, and the services of the labour market authority can be found at the Ty\u00f6markkinatori<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. If you have been in business for less than 3 years, take advantage of the services of the Uusyrityskeskus. After that, municipal development companies<\/a> and municipalities provide support to businesses. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Are you looking for growth and internationalisation? Programmes and services such as KasvuOpen<\/a> or the TeamFinland network<\/a> may be helpful. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. You can also check out the free courses offered<\/a> by the Finnish Entrepreneurs’ Academy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        I need help managing my business finances<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Call KEHA-keskus<\/a>‘ the Entrepreneur’s Financial Helpline on 0295 024 880 from 9-16.15 on weekdays. From the helpline, you will be directed, for example, to regional support services or to the Business Co-op.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Financial advice is also available from the Guarantee Foundation’s Debt Line on 080 098 009 (weekdays 10-14) and from the regional financial and debt counselling services of legal aid offices .<\/a> The Enforcement Office’s proactive financial advice service operates<\/a> on a regional basis.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          I need funding<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          You can apply for business finance from your own bank and from Finnvera. Support for growth and internationalisation is available from Business Finland.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          The ELY Centre supports <\/a>the development and investment projects of small and medium-sized Finnish enterprises and provides financial advice. The financial services of the Team Finland network include<\/a> support and funding from Finnvera, Business Finland, the ELY Centre, Industrial Investment, Finnfund and Finnpartnership. There is separate Leader funding for rural entrepreneurs .<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          I want information on selling a business and changing ownership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Information on selling your business and changing ownership can be found on Suomi.fi, which will direct you to regional<\/a> services. The Finnish Enterprise Federation has produced a guide on ownership changes.<\/a> Instructions on how to report to the tax authorities are available on their website. The Finnish Association of Business Brokers and Change of Ownership Experts (SYVL) has a list of business brokers on its website<\/a> and provides advice on changing ownership. Notices of companies for sale can be found, for example , on the Business Exchange and<\/a> Firm Trade.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          I need support and I need networks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Networks for entrepreneurs exist both nationally and regionally. Some networks are sectoral. Finnish Entrepreneurs have an extensive network of local associations.<\/a> Yritt\u00e4j\u00e4nanen also has local activities.<\/a> The Association of Micro- and Sole Entrepreneurs has networking activities and small groups.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          For help with coping and crises, entrepreneurs can seek help from services<\/a> such as the Mental Health Centre provided by the public health service . The services of Mieli ry can help<\/a> in acute situations. Church services operate on a regional basis and the Church also has a national chat service.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          An entrepreneur who is partially able to work can apply for support from, for example, the employment area, Kela or the pension insurance company (sickness allowance, partial sickness allowance, disability pension, vocational rehabilitation), health care and occupational health care. Information on rehabilitation is available from the Rehabilitation House in the Health Village .<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

          I became unemployed<\/summary>\n

          If you are unemployed, first register (with an employment office) as a job-seeker with the Labour Market Centre and then take care of your obligations. You can see them by logging in to your own account at the Labour Market Centre<\/a>. You can also consult the Suomi.fi guide for the unemployed<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          For help in finding a job, you should contact your local employment office in the first instance. You can apply for services on Suomi.fi.<\/a> The<\/a> Jobcentre’s training helpline can give you advice on training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          You can also get help with your job search from professional and entrepreneurial networks. There is also a Finnish Confederation of the Unemployed<\/a>, which has local associations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
