{"id":4861,"date":"2025-06-24T13:30:31","date_gmt":"2025-06-24T10:30:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yrittajakassa.fi\/ukk\/kuka-on-tyottomyysturvalain-mukainen-yrittaja\/"},"modified":"2026-04-27T15:52:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T12:52:15","slug":"kuka-on-tyottomyysturvalain-mukainen-yrittaja","status":"publish","type":"ukk","link":"https:\/\/yrittajakassa.fi\/en\/faq\/kuka-on-tyottomyysturvalain-mukainen-yrittaja\/","title":{"rendered":"Who is an entrepreneur ?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>According to the Unemployment Security Act, an entrepreneur is a person who is<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>YEL- and MYEL-insured (excluding the grant recipient), <br>or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a TyEL-insured part-owner of a business and a member of the entrepreneur&#8217;s family, if he or she\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"letter-spacing: -0.1px;\">owns, alone or jointly with family members, at least 15% or 30% of the company in which he\/she works <\/span>in a <strong>managerial position<\/strong> (director,<span style=\"letter-spacing: -0.1px;\"> member of the board of directors)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>owns, alone or jointly with family members, at least 50% of the company in which he or she works without holding a managerial position (as an employee)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the income on which the pension insurance is based must be <strong>at least \u20ac15 481 per year<\/strong>.
