Membership fees and billing
Choosing the insurance level
As a member of the Entrepreneur Fund, you choose your unemployment insurance level, which determines your membership fee and the amount of your earnings-related allowance.

The level of insurance you choose must be
- at least €15 481 in 2026 and
- up to the annual income from your pension insurance (YEL/MYEL) or the total annual income from the different pension insurance schemes (YEL, MYEL, TyEL) paid due to your business activity.
If you are a TyEL-insured part-owner of a company or a member of the family of an entrepreneur, your insurance level must be.
- up to your gross annual salary, and
- up to the total annual income from the different pension insurance schemes (YEL, MYEL, TyEL) paid due to your business activity
At the lowest possible insurance level of €15 481, your membership fee will be €99.98 per year, or €8.33 per month. The membership fee is 1.7% of the part of your annual income above €9 600.
It is best to set your insurance level at the same level as your YEL, MYEL or TyEL income from the start. If you later increase your insurance level by more than 20%, the new level will not fully affect your earnings-related daily allowance until 15 months after the increase.
