As a fund member, you must select a level for your unemployment security when joining the fund. Your insurance level cannot exceed the confirmed work income which your pension insurance is based on. In 2021, the minimum level is € 13,247 € per year.
In 2021, the Entrepreneur Fund’s annual fee amounts to 2,3 % of the work income exceeding € 5,800, which your unemployment insurance is based on.
Annual work income refers to your YEL or MYEL annual work income or in the case of partial owners and entrepreneur family members, their annual TyEL income for 2021.
Since 2015, it has been possible to combine annual work incomes from different insurance types, so your maximum level of insurance with the Entrepreneur Fund equals your summed up annual work incomes from different pension insurances (YEL, MYEL, TyEL), which you have paid for in connection with your business operations.
Please note that salaries subject to TyEL insurance, which have been earned working for an external employer, cannot be observed by the Entrepreneur Fund. In order to qualify for being added up to your work income falling under other pension insurance types, your TyEL income must have been earned as an entrepreneur.
